Bret Dudl Marketing Tools By Darewin Amio Ocampo

Social media marketing is defined as the conduct of marketing, sales, public relations and customer service through the use of one or a combination of social networks, online communities, blogs, wikis or any other online collaborative media. Some famous social media marketing tools are Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Flickr, Wikipedia, Orkut and YouTube.

Social media in an internet marketing sense pertains to a collective group of cyberspace or web properties whose content comes from publications or posts created by users, and not direct employees of the said property such as the vast majority of the videos on you tube and the bast majority of threads on forum sites as well as the most of the tweets on tweeter.

Three Major Elements of Social Media Marketing

1. The Buzz

Make posts to attract the attention of other members or users. Create a buzz or newsworthy events, videos, tweets, or blog entries. Make sure they are interesting and are likely to captivate people who stumble into them. Catchy posts are likely to spread over the network like a virus. Buzzing is the core of social media marketing. It differs from the traditional methods of commercials, print ads, and press releases in the sense that other users become the medium for your marketing campaign. Members tend to pass something of interest to other users.

2. Fan Pages

Create of facilitate means in which fans or patrons of your brand, your business or yourself can promote a message of their own on multiple online social media venues. Create fan pages where they can talk about whatever they are a fan of.

3. Be Active in Conversations

Conversations are the lifeblood of social media marketing. The marketing campaign is controlled not by the organization but by the consumers themselves. Consumers can start or participate in conversation about a brand they are interested in. Respect of all users as well as confidentiality of private information should always be maintained.

5 Ways to Ensure Your Social Media Marketing is a Success

Bret Dudl Effective Business Sources By Terrance Charles

Social Media, if not one of the most powerful and viral mediums you can use for your business, whether to increase your personal brand or to use it to help market your business and gain more exposure that you couldn’t gain from other sources as effective. Social media is basically word of mouth, engagement, entertaining and live and direct, basically a 2 way conversation that can be taken to a 10 way conversation.

#1 Engage… I see so many people making this mistake, and the fact is, if you use this wrong you’ll actually damage your brand and credibility no matter how much messages or how much times people see your profile image and name, they’ll always ignore you and remember you as the one that doesn’t engage and connect with their followers, readers and community. Remember it takes months to years to establish your brand and credibility and only one bad mistake to ruin it for good, so you want to engage your followers and not just rapidly send out promotional links, if you engage them the right and real way, they’ll check it out on their own.

#2 Give Value… If not one of the most important methods you can use. How else do people get to know, trust and like you? By giving them value, something that they will remember you for. The key words are can they get to know you, can they get to trust you, can they get to like you. That is your business survival plan, you want to make sure that your hitting all 3 points to keep your business surviving and people recommending you to their community. In the offline world, you give value to your friends by inviting them to a good party, or taking them out to play some pool etc, and they’ll remember that, social media is like a party, people want to hang with people they know, like and trust, and that’s cool of course, no different than offline.

#3 Keep It Real… This is self explanatory, don’t try to be something your not because as human beings where conditioned to seeing how unique and real a person is and we can tell by looking at them, listening to them, or watching them in a video. If you come of as shady, people will NOT trust you and if we don’t understand or can’t figure out why we don’t like something, we stay away from it, right? Be your unique self, people like you for you, not what your trying to be, and that’s a BIG one to remember.

#4 – Educate/Entertain/Enlighten… People don’t like boring people, you don’t go to a party and hang out with someone boring right? So why would you do this online or even think someone else will want to do this online. How to do you educate, entertain and enlighten? Give content, not just any content, valuable content that will take care of all 3 social media (e’s). You can do this by sharing things that your already interested in, like funny videos, funny stories, personal experiences, how to videos, and giving information that people did not think about yet until you brought it to light. This is the internet, content s everywhere and it doesn’t have to be just your content, as long as you source the person or website where you get the content, your fine.

#5 – Show Love/Have fun… That’s what it’s all about, like a big o’le party. When you are having fun on your social media networks, people take notice and they want to have fun with you. Social media is really what’s HOT and what’s NOT, what’s entertaining, what’s cool, and keeping up with your friends, business partners and potential prospects. Show them you know how to have and help them have a good time, and they’ll stick to you. Don’t forget to always show LOVE back to the ones that are showing love to you, those people are valued because they took the time out to give you gratitude. Sending them a quick @ reply or message will make their day because they know that you truly appreciate them for being them. All in all, engage, give value, keep it real, educate/entertain/enlighten, show love and have fun.

How To Increase Traffic By Bret Dudl  Article By Christopher Rom

When you are working with online advertising one part of this type of work is social marketing. Now social media marketing doesn’t mean that you get the product out to the society, It means that you are going to be promoting yourself to the public as to gain a reputation for being knowledgeable or an expert on the product or services you are providing.

There are several way to start your S.M.M (social media marketing). Social networking is the start of it. With several out there like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Friendster, to name a few. Some of these sites do ask for a fee in order to advertise as a business. As you start you will need to provide knowledgeable information as a help or how to: An informational article that explains what is needed to do the specific tasks that will be needed. By making newsworthy events, videos, tweets, or blog that will attract the attention of a potential client, and increase the traffic nature of your product or website.

As you are marketing yourself you will need to do research on the products that you are going to promote. If you are going to be advertising an E-book it is best to give some of the information in it in order to entice the prospect. Sales pitches and non-informative information will not bring them back. The better the information and knowledge you have and the way you will be presenting it is the key to social marketing.

All of the tools that you use for any business will not work unless you promote yourself. You can do everything out there under the sun, but if you do not show the people that you are the one with the right knowledge of the product and that you are here to help, teach, and also learn from them. Your efforts will not bring the traffic to your site or product. Now I am not saying that the tools will not help, You will need them and they are important. Just like if you are changing a light switch in your house if you don’t have the right screwdriver it will be hard to accomplish the job.

The system that you create with the marketing of yourself and the tools you will use are the key. As you become more well known as a knowledgeable person the other tools will be more beneficial for you. Social media is about getting yourself out to the public and being noticed. If the information you give is incorrect or you are not a social type of person this type of work may be more difficult to do. Social marketing does have one part that you need to do to excel, which is research. Read and learn from everything out there about your product, even if you feel it is sales or incorrect you will take that information and make it correct and easy to take in for anyone.

All About Social Media Marketing

Bret Dudl Discussions By Lee J. Green

I have gone over certain characteristics of social media marketing in a number of various discussions over the years, nevertheless as far as I know I’ve never undertaken an “all-in-one” kind of article, outlining the differences that can be found with Social Media and also the many ways a person can leverage them.

Social Media is actually growing like no media has ever grown before. MySpace was one of the first mass social platforms, then Facebook, Twitter and the list goes on and on. As Internet Marketers Social Media is a comparatively new, HUGE market and opportunity, but it’s far from a secret!

Presently there are a huge number of services committed to leveraging Social Media to do this, that and the other. It is a marketing machine, nevertheless, just a tiny percentage of internet marketers are really benefiting from it because most of them are just confused by it all. This posting is my attempt at clearing up that confusion.

Let’s start off with the definition. Wikipedia states:

“Social media is content created by people using highly accessible and scalable publishing technologies.”

That is the “book” meaning, however it really all comes down to the very first word “social.” Virtually any site that is actually powered by user-generated information is a social media site! With that being said, let me tell you something that most folks do not realize for a WHILE, that causes them to waste time bugging legitimate users by spamming those users… ultimately getting their accounts suspended.

In a nutshell, please understand that there are MANY different types of social media web sites and each one has it’s own benefits to you as an Internet Marketer. They are NOT all the same thing. Some can be leveraged in the same basic way. Several provide the same benefit if leveraged the right way, but all are different!

For example, social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Stumbleupon are best leveraged as direct exposure tools. Good, viral content that you generate can gain 1000’s, even millions, of new site visitors coming from these sites when your site visitors bookmark them. But, you really do not go to Digg or SU to build links (it’s all nofollowed) or even to be able to network. Truth be told there will be different social bookmarking sites which will give you a followed link. There might even be a few that are great for networking. Which is where my point comes in. They are all different!

LinkedIn is a social site that is all about networking. Meeting other people within your own area of interest. Making good friends, which is actually just what social networking is all about!

Facebook and Twitter are practical for direct exposure as well as networking. And as a side note, I tend to recommend creating separate accounts for business and private use.

Presently there is an enormous dilemma with several social media sites and spam, most definitely Twitter. This particular dilemma comes from confused entrepreneurs that do not recognize that each website is without a doubt different.

The problem is spam. Yet this spam isn’t coming from sneaky, dishonest scammers like most spam comes from. It’s coming from “newbie” Internet Marketers who are finding very broad facts relating to the subject and acting on that info without any kind of real understanding of the practical applications.

I get direct mail messages on Twitter on a regular basis from people pitching their “deal”, like we’re best friends even though I have never written to them in my life. They really do not realize that Twitter (for instance) is just like real life. Start using it so that you make friends. Communicate NORMAL to people. Get to know them, assist them, share with them.

Things like this take place on just about all of the big social sites. Each problem is definitely unique to the site it crops up on, but it all comes from users trying to use a social platform in the incorrect way. And so what’s the bottomline? Sorry to say, the best advice I can offer you, or anybody for that matter, can offer you, is to look at each and every site differently!

Every time a new social media site begins to gain popularity I create an account and start making use of it PRECISELY HOW IT’S MEANT TO BE USED. Once I know it, I then start to think of ways in which it can benefit my business, if any. It comes down to this. Almost all social media sites tend to be best leveraged by using them EXACTLY HOW THEY’RE MEANT TO BE USED!

No need to force URL’s or ads onto people you really don’t know. Don’t bend or even break the rules of the sites. Merely sign up. Find out the main objective and intention of the site and then use it. Promoting and marketing isn’t always about ads and pushy sales talk. It’s also about making contacts, expressing ideas and information, helping people better their lives. It’s basically being active and involved.
